DESCRIPTION:The December Holiday Party\, which has been relocated from Birmingham to Double Springs (due to Hampton Inn’s planned renovations). So we will now gather on Dec 9th in the Banquet room for dinner at the Lakeshore Inn & Marina [ 364 Lakeshore Lane Double Springs\, AL; (205) 489-2462 ].  Happy hour will commence in the mid-afternoon as folks wander into the Goldiggers Lounge with college football on the screens. We’ll move to the big Dining room @6PM. \nhttps://lakeshoreinnandmarina.com/accommodations/ \nObviously\, if traveling from out of the area\, rooms can be reserved for the weekend or simply for Saturday night’s gathering. Be sure to say you’re meeting with the BMW M/C Club of Alabama when you select the room you want. If we get enough room reservations {>10}\, we’ll get a group discount of 10%. An RSVP to yours truly would also be most helpful. \nThey’ll set up a buffet line that all can go through once in that meeting room beside the lobby. A standard meal is $14.95 for one meat\, two veggies\, roll or cornbread\, a dessert item\, and iced tea or H2O.  Another option is $17.95 for two meat selections: fried chicken\, hamburger- steak\, chicken tenders\, or catfish (for all the big eaters]).  In lieu of the club buying a HoneyBaked ham\, the club will subsidize dinner at $10 per person; you make up the difference for your dinner choices plus your Goldiggers bar tab. \nAs usual\, we’ll also have a Dirty Santa gift exchange for those wishing to share the joy of the season (you decide on the price and variety\, but liquors are always a popular swap)… \nAccording to our by-laws\, we need to come up with another Board of Directors slate of candidates. DESCRIPTION:Arrive as early as Friday at noon. Dinner provided on Friday night (Menu TBD). Saturday light breakfast and lunch. Saturday night is the traditional Dump Stew.  Bring a can or two of a vegetable or your special ingredient to be dumped in! It’s good…I promise! \nPlease check your calendars. Vance is asking for head-counts for a Friday evening meal and the Saturday evening meal. Folks are encouraged to campout\, but there are also numerous motels north of the Harrelson homestead and south of Pell City on US-231. \nHe will also need to know the numbers of folks that may be hanging out on Saturday looking for breakfast morsels and then Saturday’s Lunch. We typically do not do the Group BMW Ride thing at this event; we prefer to just lounge in\, on & beside the inviting Logan Martin Lake. SUMMARY:Lakehouse Retreat - August 2022
DESCRIPTION:Come join Vance and Mari for a fun filled weekend at their home on Logan Martin Lake.  Arrive in the afternoon of Friday August 26.  The boat will be gassed up and ready for lake tours\, games will be set up for the competitive or just pull up a chair or float lakeside and catch up with old friends.  Friday evening’s menu is a pasta and salad bar with dessert.  After dinner there are campfire stories complete with smores and usually a sing along at some point during the weekend.  Feel free to bring your musical instrument of choice if you like or just sing along. \nSaturday morning starts with coffee and a hot breakfast and more sun and fun.  Since the idea is to enjoy the lake time together a picnic lunch will also be included.  If you want to ride you will find lots of great riding all around the area.  Dinner will be the famous “Dump Stew” and cornbread served at 5:30 so the club meeting can begin at 6:30.  (Please bring your favorite canned goods to add to the Stew!!  The club will provide the meat.) \nCoffee and pastries served Sunday! \nFor those that have never been there are plenty of flat and shady camping spots for tents or boondocking campers.  There are several hotels close.  The newly renovated rooms at the Lake Front Motel is about 5 miles down the road with clean inexpensive rooms and Quality Inn\, Comfort Suites and Hampton Inn at the interstate about 12 miles away. \nCoffee\, tea\, lemonade\, water and soft drinks are provided.  Bring your own beverage of choice\, sunscreen\, bathing suit and towel and a healthy appetite for laughs and good times. \nPlease let us know if you are coming so we can secure plenty of food\, etc. \nClick Here to let the organizers know you will attend this event. \nView Attendees who have registered online
