SUMMARY:Christmas Party - 2017
DESCRIPTION:Christmas Party – The Christmas party will again be held at the Hampton Inn Eagle Point on Highway 280. Room rates are the same as last year at $95.00 / Night plus tax. Please book your rooms directly with the hotel By clicking on the Booking Link below. You may contact the hotel by clicking here. We will be using the lobby area for our Christmas party gift exchange as usual. \n \nPeople usually start gathering together around 5:00 pm to socialize and the gift exchange takes place around 7:00 pm. \nAgain this year instead of a catered dinner we will have appetizers. As those who have attended in the past know there is always a huge supply of goodies served throughout the afternoon and when dinner arrives everybody is full. So this year we will just overload on snacks and desserts instead of snacks\, dinner and desserts! Please bring anything you want to share in the way of eats. The club will supply soft drinks\, cups and ham. Make your plans now to join us! \nSince we are just doing appetizers this year\, we want to ensure that there is enough food for everyone. So Darlene has asked that if you are planning to be there\, please send her a note with how many will be in your party and what you might be bringing to eat and share. Please respond to Darlene directly by email to Dmassey@amerex-fire.com. \n \nMerry Christmas! \n\n\n\n\n\nHosted By:\nDarlene & Gary (with a lot of help!)\n\n\nGPS Loc:\n33.40442\, -86.66699\n\n\nRelated Links:\nBooking Link —– Hampton Inn\, Eagle Point

SUMMARY:Lakehouse Retreat
DESCRIPTION:Welcome to Lake Time Version 3.0! As of today the lake is at full pool and we are looking forward to having everyone with us for a great time. For those who have not attended before\, we are located near Pell City\, AL on Logan Martin Lake. Learning from previous events we have now honed this to a fine art so hopefully you can join us! \nArrive anytime on Friday September 22nd and stake out your camping spot in the yard. We have plenty of room for tents and even several RV’s but sorry there are no electrical or water hook-ups. There should however be water in the lake this year (unless something goes really wrong!) so be sure to bring your swimming attire. We will have the pontoon boat full of fuel and ready to go! Hopefully Sanford will be there from across the lake with his beautiful Ranger Tug and lead the boat parade. \nFor those that want to ride\, there is great riding in the area including Mt Cheaha\, the Talladega Super Speedway & Museum among others. So you can ride or just choose to stay in the shade and enjoy the lake! We will have a planned street ride for Saturday morning to highlight some of our favorite back roads in the area. The ride will be long enough to be fun but short enough to get us back home in time for a leisurely afternoon lakeside. \nWhat are we going to eat? Well for those arriving on Friday and in time for dinner around 6PM we will serve lasagna. We’ll have a light breakfast on Saturday morning before the ride departs (Saturday lunch on your own) andSaturday night with everyone’s help we will once again create and serve “dump stew”. If you are not familiar with this epicurean delight here’s how it works. Bring along a can of anything you choose to dump into the stew pot. Now normally this is some sort of canned vegetable but use your imagination! We will have the meat which will be stewed along with the other items dumped in and have bread to accompany it. You will be surprised at how good this will be! We will then have a light breakfast on Sunday morning to send you off! As with all of our meetings\, suffice it to say\, you won’t go hungry! \nDon’t want to camp? There are two motels in close proximity that you can contact for accommodations. The closest is the Big Bull Lakefront Motel. This is an old style one level mom and pop kind of place that has hosted fisherman for years. Recently renovated with new owners I believe. Never stayed there but would not be afraid to! Located at 4304 Martin St. S. Cropwell\, AL 35054 (205) 338-3344. The other option is the Quality Inn located at I-20 & US231 in Pell City. Their number is (205) 338-1314. There is also a new Hampton Inn at the intersection of US231 & I-20. Their contact number is 800.916.4339. The hotel is located at 220 Vaughn Lane Pell City\, AL 35125 \nSo here is the weekend schedule; \nFriday September 22 \nArrive Anytime \n6:00 PM Lasagna Dinner \n7:00 PM – 10:00 PM Camp Fire / Social \nSaturday September 23 \n10:00 AM Street Ride Departs \n1:00PM – 5:00PM Lake / Yard Time \n6:00 PM – “Dump Stew” Dinner Is Served \n7:00PM – 10:00 Camp Fire / Social \nSunday September 24 \n8:00 AM Light Breakfast / Depart For Home \nSo you can see we are planning a fun time. As always\, we need to get a head count for the meals so we will know what groceries to buy. Please let us know when you will be arriving and what meals you will be here for. \nPLEASE respond by the buttons below NO LATER THAN TUESDAY September 19 so we can gather up the groceries we’ll need. \nRide safe and we hope to see you there! (and don’t forget your contribution to the Dump Stew!) \nWe’ll see you there! \nVance and Mari \n\n\n\n\n\nHosted By:\nVance & Mari Harrleson\n\n\nEmail\npresident@bmwmoal.org\n\n\nGPS Loc:\n33.467648\, -86.336492

SUMMARY:North Georgia Twisties – Two Wheels of Suches
DESCRIPTION:This will be a joint meeting with the Georgia club. Don Laudermilk\, who is both an Alabama and Georgia club member has reserved all the cabins under his name. To get a cabin contact TWO and ask for a cabin which was reserved for the AL and GA BMW clubs under Don’s name . I believe TWO is holding them until April 1st. \nAlso Don has agreed to lead a street ride on Saturday morning and either Ian Schmeisser or Jim Kalahan will lead a dual sport ride. \nIf you haven’t been to this area before\, now is your chance. Need to get your “curve quota” for the weekend? You can do it right here! The mountains of north Georgia have long lured motorcyclists for both on road and off road riding. Come and ride Wolf Pen Gap Road\, GA Hwy 60 and visit the towns of Dahlonega\, Helen and others. Want to get dirty? The off road riding opportunities abound so your knobby tires will be right at home too! Join us on Saturday night in the lodge for a meal and the club gathering! There will not be a business meeting. \nAccommodations include plenty of tent camping space\, lodge and cabins as well as dry (no hookups) RV space. Contact the lodge directly to make reservations by phone or online. \nPlease contact Tim Flynn by July 22nd at Tim@southernwindowsupply.com or 205-999-6650 to let him know if you plan to attend and how many meals you will be eating at TWO. The lodge will be serving Friday diner\, all three meals Saturday and breakfast and lunch Sunday. \n\n\n\n\n\nHosted By:\nTim Flynn\n\n\nGPS Loc:\n34.687731\, -84.022189\n\n\nRelated Links:\nTwo Wheels of Suches — High Valley Cabins
